Navitas Workforce Solutions is now offering an exciting opportunity for Australian businesses to source staff through an innovative ‘job-readiness’ program. The program targets international students who have graduated from university within Australia, and aims to equip them with professional skills that ensure a successful transition to the workforce. The program involves but is not limited to:

• An intensive 44 week program with practical and theory components
• A Certificate III in Business
• 12 week internship in their chosen field of study
• Access to Professional Industry Bodies within Accounting, ICT and Engineering
• The necessary skills to find relevant work upon graduation

The program has been approved by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship in consultation with Professional Industry Bodies to give graduates the leading edge when searching for employment. Navitas will be partnering with Australian businesses to provide this exciting program and pave the way forward for a new and abundant source of qualified staff.

Are there any costs involved?

• There are no costs for partnering with Navitas and accepting an intern into your organisation
• The internship is an unpaid position and interns are insured by Navitas so there is no risk or financial expense to your organisation

What is the process for taking an intern?

• Navitas will visit your organisation to discuss the internship and assess your business needs
• Navitas and your organisation will work together to develop an internship agreement which includes a training plan, key dates, roles and responsibilities
• Navitas will review the CVs of potential interns and create a shortlist to send to your organisation
• The successful intern commences at your organisation at the agreed date
• Navitas will check progress regularly with phone calls and visits
• At the completion of the internship your organisation is free to decide if they wish to hire the intern with no fees or obligations
• Navitas will visit to obtain a full de-brief on the intern’s performance and future needs of your organisation

What is required of your business?

All that is required of your business is to provide a safe learning environment for our program participants. A mentor should be assigned from your business that would provide relevant work for the intern based on our training plan. All training material will be provided by Navitas.
