The Engineers Australia Professional Year Program is designed to assist engineering graduates gain employment in their chosen career, as well as give eligibility for 10 migration points towards permanent residence. This initiative was implemented in response to concerns that many recent graduates experienced difficulties in gaining employment within their qualified professions.
The Program and its content have been determined in consultation with Engineers Australia. Within the program there are classroom delivered components as well as a professional internship.

- Business Communications
- Australian Work Practices
- Professional Internship (Work Experience) for 12 weeks
- Professional training specific to the industry
- 44 weeks as gazetted by DIAC
