Becoming a host company

Navitas Workforce Solutions (NWS) provides you with the opportunity to source entry-level staff through our innovative and highly popular Navitas Professional Year Program. The program is designed to give international graduates of Australian universities the skills and training they need to make a successful transition to the workforce. The program is approved by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), and the relevant professional associations: CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Public Accountants, the Australian Computer Society and Engineering Education Australia.

How will your organisation benefit?

Recruiting interns through NWS gives you the opportunity to:

  • access the skills and knowledge of highly trained, entry-level graduates
  • teach your staff workplace training, management and mentoring
  • gain insights into different cultures
  • screen potential candidates for full time employment while they are within your organisation

What is required of your organisation?

  • All that is required of your business is to provide a safe learning environment for our program participants.
  • A mentor should be assigned from your business that would provide relevant work for the intern based on our training plan.
  • There are no costs for partnering with NWS and accepting an intern into your organisation
  • The internship is an unpaid position and interns are insured by NWS so there is no risk or financial expense to your organisation

Where is the program offered?

* Please note: internships are unpaid positions and Navitas will provide all the training material needed.

Wattyl Australia Testimonial
'We would have no hesitation in recommending this program to other businesses. Wattyl had a proactive intern on board and we were very comfortable with the support Navitas provided throughout the program. The intern was able to deliver value from day one and developed good working relationships with operators on the shop floor, supervisors and senior management. He also got a lot out of the experience in learning basic project management skills and dealing directly with contractors (Trades and Engineers) and suppliers, which gave him an opportunity to put what he had previously learnt into practice.'
