The Navitas Professional Year Program is offered in all major Australian cities, allowing you to choose the ideal city in which to complete the program. We offer participants the flexibility to transfer between the locations should they wish to study and undertake the internship in different cities.
Professional Year in Adelaide
Adelaide is an ideal location to complete your Professional Year. It is regarded as the food and wine capital of Australia, producing approximately 50 per cent of Australia's wine, and it has more restaurants per head than any other major Australian city. Cost of living
When compared with other major Australian cities, Adelaide boasts a low cost of living improve your lifestyle. The main reasons for the different cost is the price of accommodation and transport. Depending on your lifestyle and where you choose to live, you can expect to spend around AU$15,000 - $19,000 a year on living expenses (not including tuition fees).
Getting around
Adelaide city centre offers free transport options including a bus service and the tram that runs between South Terrace and North Terrace. Climate
Adelaide has a Mediterranean climate with warm sunny weather most of the year and mild, wet winters. During the summer months, from December to February, the average maximum temperature is around 28°C. The winter months, from June to August, see the average minimum temperature drop to around 8°C. Getting there
The Adelaide Campus is a 5 minute walk from both Rundle Mall Tram Stop and Pirie Street Tram stop. Buses also run from Grenfell Street as well as from nearby King William Street and Curie Street. Alternatively students can take the Train to Adelaide Railway Station which is a 15 minute walk away.
